Discover Barcelona with the daily tours of Well & Come, your favourite boutique hotel in Barcelona

We’re in love with our city, and it shows! This became evident to all our readers after the last blog post about our facilities. And so you also knew about our efforts to ensure that you are always satisfied, not only while you are with us at the hotel, but throughout your entire stay in Barcelona. To this end, we now propose a selection of the best routes and tours, walking or driving, to explore the city first hand.

The best walking tours in Barcelona’s city centre

Our route begins in the heart of the city: Plaza de Cataluña, daily starting point for thousands of tourists on their tours of the city. Crossing the famous Rambla, we arrive at the “barrio gótico” (gothic quarter), perhaps the most attractive of Barcelona’s districts. Here we propose an itinerary that includes various indispensable stops, such as: Barcelona Cathedral, the Church of El Pino, and Plaza del Rey, a most amazing square, surrounded by monumental buildings that once were the symbol of the power and medieval grandeur of the city. Then there is also the City History Museum, of which we spoke in a previous blog.  This interesting visit will take you back to the first 1500 years of the city’s existence. Furthermore, in this district you can enjoy the commercial and gastronomic proposals of a large number of bars, restaurants and shops, all of which will provide you with relaxing and leisurely moments on your route.

Hop-on hop-off in Barcelona

Other, more adventurous routes, will take you to places further away from the city and its hustle and bustle. One of the most interesting is a 2-hour tour of the sumptuous and iconic “masías” (country manors) in the district of Horta, on the outskirts of Barcelona, but easily accessible by bus (line 5). Nature lovers will be delighted with the many hiking trails in the Montseny Natural Park.

A more demanding tour, which brings us near the border with the neighbouring province of Girona, is a spectacular circular route that begins and ends in Sant Bernat, and includes the ascent of Mount Matagalls.

Other places worth visiting, with many interesting routes in the middle of nature, are the Garraf Natural Park, near Sitges, and the Montnegre Corredor Natural Park, near the coast.
